QUICK SPLIT CLEANER

Separating Tank and General Cleaner

A heavy-duty tank and bilge cleaner. It is used for cleaning and gas freeing of mineral oil tanks and for cleaning of tanks upgrading from black to white or grain. It can also be used as a general cleaner in the engine room and especially for cleaning bilges. It’s suitable for removal of most mineral oils, fats, and grease.

ELECTRO CLEAN CF

Non-Conductive Electric Cleaner

Used as a special de-greasing agent for removal of oil & grease from electrical components, machine parts, ball bearings, etc. It is odorless and evaporates without leaving residue. It does not contain chlorinated hydrocarbons or harmful chemicals and does not emulsify in water. It has a high flash point.

MULTI CLEANER

Biodegradable Cleaner

A superior liquid detergent with good foaming properties. The active wetting agents give rapid penetration to remove light oil and dirt from all surfaces. It is used in the galley, accommodation and engine room aboard ships, launches and maintenance department of all industries. Also used for cleaning reefer boxes, woodwork and decks.

RUST REMOVER

Rust Cleaner

An excellent tank cleaner for removing oxides, chlorides, nitrates, amides, amines, and other salts. Useful for cleaning the white powders appearing after loading vegetables and fatty acid oil additives. It also removes lime deposits that can occur after hot seawater washing. It cleans and brightens metals and forms a protective coating on treated surfaces. It’s biodegradable and non-flammable.

AIR COOLER CLEANER

A liquid cleaner containing solvents and surface-active agents for on-line and off-line cleaning of charge air coolers. It has been developed for safe, fast and economical in-service cleaning of the air handling systems of turbo charged diesel engines. By using ACC, airborne contaminants that have been carried into and deposited on scavenger air trunks, air coolers and inlet valves are removed.

CARBON REMOVER NC

Solvent Emulsifier

Used undiluted for breaking down and separating residual combustion products and by-products of distillation of mineral oils. It’s suitable for cleaning burner tips, lube/fuel oil filters, oil coolers, fuel injectors and machines parts. The engine room is the heart of any vessel, responsible for the propulsion and essential power systems that keep the ship running smoothly. Proper engine room maintenance is critical to ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. At RXMARINE International, we specialize in providing high-quality marine chemicals that enhance maintenance procedures, keeping vessels in top condition.

Why Engine Room Maintenance Matters

• Prevents Downtime & Costly Repairs: Regular inspections help detect early signs of wear and tear, reducing expensive breakdowns.

• Enhances Fuel Efficiency: A well-maintained engine operates efficiently, cutting down fuel consumption and operational costs.

• Ensures Crew Safety: Proper maintenance minimizes the risk of hazardous incidents such as fires, leaks, or mechanical failures.

• Regulatory Compliance: Compliance with international maritime regulations (IMO, SOLAS) is essential to avoid fines and ensure smooth sailing.

Key Aspects of Engine Room Maintenance

1. Cleaning & Degreasing

The accumulation of oil, grease, and dirt can lead to overheating and reduced efficiency. Using RXMARINE’s Engine Room Cleaners & Degreasers, you can effectively remove sludge, carbon deposits, and oil residues.

2. Lubrication System Maintenance

• Regular oil changes using high-quality marine lubricants help prevent friction and wear.

• Monitoring oil viscosity and contamination is crucial to detect potential engine issues early.

3. Cooling System Efficiency

• Scale and corrosion in heat exchangers and cooling lines reduce efficiency. Descaling chemicals like RXMARINE’s RXSCALE help prevent blockages and maintain optimal cooling.

• Ensure coolant levels are checked regularly to prevent overheating.

4. Fuel System Treatment

• Fuel contamination with water, sludge, and microbial growth can affect engine performance. Using fuel additives and biocides prevents clogging and improves combustion efficiency.

• Regularly clean fuel injectors and filters to maintain smooth operation.

5. Bilge Cleaning & Oil Spill Management

• The bilge area accumulates oil and sludge, which can pose environmental and safety hazards.

• RXMARINE’s Oil Spill Dispersants & Bilge Cleaners effectively break down oil and prevent pollution.

6. Corrosion Prevention

• Saltwater exposure accelerates corrosion in pipes, tanks, and metal surfaces.

• Apply corrosion inhibitors and protective coatings to extend the life of engine room components.

Best Practices for Engine Room Maintenance

• Implement a Routine Inspection Schedule – Daily, weekly, and monthly checks help identify problems early.
• Train Crew Members – Ensure engineers and crew are well-trained in maintenance procedures.
• Use High-Quality Marine Chemicals – Investing in premium cleaning, degreasing, and protective products ensures longevity and efficiency.
• Document Maintenance Activities – Keeping detailed logs helps in audits, repairs, and regulatory compliance.
