PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:-

Because RXSOL-33-3302-020 is a highly concentrated product, 
It is acceptable to use small doses of reagent. 
Suspended substances such as dirt, bottom sediments, clay, metal oxides are dispersed, and their possible precipitation decelerates. The strong dispersing power of RXSOL-33-3302-020 allows the reagent to maintain its efficiency in waters with high total salt content, as well as in areas with a low liquid flow rate. Salts of calcium and magnesium, such as CaCO3, CaSO4, CaSO4 · H2O, MgSiO4, are dispersed, and the formation of their sediments is suppressed.

Without some means of upstream scale inhibition, RO membranes and their flow passages will foul due to scale, the precipitation of sparingly soluble salts. Common examples of scale are calcium carbonate (CaCO3), calcium sulfate (CASO4), barium sulfate (BaSO4), and strontium sulfate (SrSO4). Less common but equally problematic are silica (SiO2) and calcium fluoride (CaF) scales.


Dissolved iron salts are stabilized through the sequestration mechanism, in addition, suspended sediments containing iron in the form of Fe (OH) 3, FePO4, FeCO3 will stabilize through the dispersion mechanism. A reagent having such a double action remains effective over a wide pH range (6 12). 

 

Dosage

RXSOL Antiscalant is an aqueous solution of an organic chemicals. RXSOL Antiscalant is miscible with water in all proportions. It may be applied as the neat product, or as a solution in permeate.  RXSOL Antiscalant should be dosed continuously and proportionately to the feed water flow, to maintain the recommended dose level.

The dose level required is dependent on the quality of the saturation indices of the various scales forming species present in the concentrated brine. Proprietary computer software is used to calculate scaling indices and calculate optimum system recovery. Dose level projections and recommendations are available on

Dosage 
To prevent precipitation of metal oxides, it is necessary to maintain a constant concentration of RXSOL in the processed system from 2 to 50 mg / dm3. The optimum dose of reagent depends on the amount of sediment in the system and the controlled parameters. When RXSOL-33-3302-020 is used as the sole treatment facility, the reagent dose should be higher than when used together with other reagents.

RO antiscant

Scaling is caused in membranes because the level of hardness salts in the water becomes highly concentrated as it passes through the RO unit. In smaller units scale formation can be prevented by base exchange softening the make-up water but for larger systems that is very expensive. We have developed a range of easy to handle, cost effective RO Antiscalant which increase the solubility of the hardness salts so they remain in solution rather than forming scale on the membrane. Our cost effective RO antiscalants will inhibit a wide range of foulants including: calcium carbonate, calcium sulphate, barium sulphate, strontium sulphate, calcium fluoride, silica and iron.

RO Antiscalants are dosed directly to the RO feed water tank or feed water line (after pretreatment) at the recommended dosage of 1-3 mg/L and maximum dosage at 8mg/L, subject to inlet water quality and parameters is respect of Calcium Hardness, Iron, TDS, Alkalinity, pH and silica content. Maximum dilution should be 10% with RO or DI water for temperature less than 30 deg C. For higher temperature the dilution ratio can increase.

Precautions

Precautionary measures : Use protective gloves and goggles. If the reagent enters the skin, eyes, rinse with plenty of water, consult a doctor.  If a reagent leakage is collected with sand or other absorbent material, rinse the contaminated surface with water.  Before use, read the additional information in the Safety Instructions.
