Antiscalant for the protection of RO MEMBRANE. This is a reverse osmosis membrane treatment chemicals. It is highly concentrated polymer based chemicals. Antiscalant Manufacturer, supplier and Exporter.

Remarks
Our RO Antiscalant is a super-threshold RO membrane antiscalant and antifoulant which is able to stabilize a wide range of supersaturated salt solutions, thereby preventing the precipitation on the membrane surface.

It reduces the risk of scaling and eliminates the use of hazardous acids, resulting in efficient plant operation with highest possible conversion rate.

It is a very effective antiscalant. It is also compatible with RO CHEMICALS series of coagulant and flocculants (polyelectrolytes). Our RO Antiscalant (HIGH PH) is effective in minimizing scaling in presence of foulants like Calcium Carbonate, Sulfate salts of Calcium, Barium, Strontium and Magnesium, Calcium Fluoride, Iron and Silica.

Tag Identification

Our RO Antiscalant  is dosed directly to the RO feed water tank or feed water line (after pretreatment) at the minimum recommended dosage of 1ppm and maximum dosage at 15ppm, subject to inlet water quality and parameters is respect of Calcium Hardness, Iron, TDS, Alkalinity, pH and silica content.

In case of high iron content of about 0.5 to 1.0ppm, the dosing has to be increased by 10-15ppm for stabilizing Calcium.

At about 10-15ppm dosage our RO Antiscalant (HIGH PH) is capable of fully inhibiting iron and calcium, and silica up to 166ppm. For higher silica content RXSOL ANTISCALANT should be used.

Antiscalant RO is a liquid antiscalant designed to inhibit scale in cellulose acetate and polyamide membrane separation systems. The formulation contains a 35% by weight solution of poly acid that has a tight molecular weight range of 2000.

This product is designed for use in waters that do not have a high potential for colloidal and silt fouling of RO membrane surfaces (i.e. groundwater applications).

Antiscalant RO  can be injected neat or diluted and a site‐specific dosage can be determined.

Application:

Antiscalant RO  performance is achieved when the chemical is injected downstream of multimedia filters and upstream of cartridge filters. For maximum effectiveness, Antiscalant RO should be added prior to the static mixer or cartridge filter housing. For potable  the maximum dosage is 10 mg/L. Maximum dilution is 10% with RO permeate or DI water

RO antiscalant

Scaling is caused in membranes because the level of hardness salts in the water becomes highly concentrated as it passes through the RO unit. In smaller units scale formation can be prevented by base exchange softening the make-up water but for larger systems that is very expensive. We have developed a range of easy to handle, cost-effective RO Antiscalant which increase the solubility of the hardness salts so they remain in solution rather than forming scale on the membrane. Our cost-effective RO antiscalants will inhibit a wide range of foulants including calcium carbonate, calcium sulphate, barium sulphate, strontium sulphate, calcium fluoride, silica and iron.

RO Antiscalants are dosed directly to the RO feed water tank or feedwater line (after pretreatment) at the recommended dosage of 1-3 mg/L and maximum dosage at 8mg/L, subject to inlet water quality and parameters is respect of Calcium Hardness, Iron, TDS, Alkalinity, pH and silica content. Maximum dilution should be 10% with RO or DI water for temperature less than 30 deg C. For higher temperature the dilution ratio can increase.

high-performance Antiscalant for RO systems formulated to prevent scale formation and fouling on membrane surfaces. It effectively controls calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium, and strontium scales, even at high recovery rates. The product maintains optimal membrane performance and extends RO membrane life. Suitable for brackish water, seawater, and wastewater reclamation RO systems.

Dosing Guidelines:

The typical dosage range is between 2 to 5 ppm or Typical dosage range is between 2 and 6 mg/L.

Dilution:

This product is formulated to be injected neat. However, if a dilution is required, use demineralized or RO permeate water. If neither of these is available, softened water may be substituted. The dilution for Vitec 1000 should not result in a solution strength of less than 10%. This guidelin will protect the effectiveness of the internal bacteriostat which inhibits bacterial growth in the drum and feed tank.Maximum dilution is temperature related as shown below.

Antiscalant RO

Antiscalant RO is a high-performance scale inhibitor specifically designed for reverse osmosis (RO) systems. Scientifically formulated to protect and maintain RO membranes, it also serves as an effective cleaner for water softener resins and can be used as a preventative treatment to prolong system life and efficiency.

Compatible with the polyamide and cellulose acetate RO membranes of the leading manufacturers.

This versatile formulation is particularly effective in systems prone to scale formation and iron fouling. In both RO and water softening applications, RXSOL-33-3302 delivers reliable performance, helping to maintain optimal flow rates and water quality. Highly effective for alkaline RO permeate, or where water to be treated is alkaline.

Traditionally, scale buildup and iron deposits on RO membranes have led to reduced permeate output, declining water quality, unexpected system downtime, and higher operating costs—ultimately resulting in early membrane replacement. RXSOL-33-3302 addresses these challenges with a powerful phosphonate-based chemistry that solubilizes iron contamination within sodium ion exchange resin beds.

Extremely helpful for antiscaling against:

Calcium Carbonate: CaCO3
Calcium Sulfate: CaSO4
Barium Sulfate: BaSO4
Strontium Sulfate: SrSO4
Calcium Fluoride: CaF2
Sodium Fluoride NaF
Iron Fe

Application and Dosage

Should be continuously dosed into the feedwater upstream of the membrane system, typically at a rate of 3–6 mg/L, depending on the feedwater quality and specific system conditions. Our technical consultants are available to recommend the optimal dosage tailored to your system's requirements.

For best results, it is advisable to operate the dosing pump at the highest possible frequency, adjusting the stroke length to fine-tune the dosing rate and ensure consistent membrane protection.

An additional benefit of RXSOL-33-3302 is its compatibility with RO permeate for dilution, with fresh solutions recommended every 3–5 days to maintain efficacy.

When used in ion exchange softener resin beds, the recommended dosage is 1/3 litre per 25 kg of salt added to the brine tank.
