Bronopol is antimicrobial organic compound preservative.
Bronopol is a white solid, but commercial samples may appear yellow. It has a melting point of (130degreeC) and a boiling point of \(140degreeC). Bronopol is effective at preserving products at low concentrations.
Bronopol is used in oil field systems, air conditioning systems, cooling water systems, and papermills.
