RXSOL Coal Tar Cleaner is a heavy-duty chemical cleaning formulation developed for the removal of coal tar, bitumen, asphalt and other difficult hydrocarbon-based deposits from cargo tanks, ship holds, tank containers and industrial equipment.

Cleaning Method

The cleaning procedure should be selected according to the type, thickness and age of the deposit, tank coating and available cleaning equipment.

A typical operation may involve:

1. Remove loose cargo residues and sediments.

2. Pre-wash the contaminated surface where appropriate.

3. Apply the Coal Tar Cleaner using suitable spraying or circulation equipment.

4. Allow sufficient contact time for the chemical to penetrate the deposit.

5. Agitate or circulate the cleaning solution as required.

6. Use suitable temperature and mechanical action where permitted by the tank coating and cleaning procedure.

7. Remove the loosened/emulsified contamination.

8. Rinse thoroughly with suitable water.

9. Inspect the tank and repeat spot cleaning where necessary.
