BWT POWDER / CWT POWDER

Boiler & Cooling Water Treatment – Technical Clarification

The products GREEN BWT POWDER and GREEN CWT POWDER appear to refer to different water-treatment applications.

The dosage information you provided appears to describe a nitrite-based closed cooling water treatment, rather than a conventional boiler treatment.

Given Dosage Information

Initial dosing: 8.5 litres per ton of system water.

Maintenance dosing: 830 mL  CWT per ton of feed water increases the nitrite reserve by approximately 150 ppm.

Technical Interpretation

Assuming one ton of water equals approximately 1,000 litres:

• 830 mL of product is claimed to increase nitrite concentration by 150 mg/L.

• This corresponds to approximately 150 g of nitrite ion (NO₂⁻) added per ton of water.

• If the product is a liquid with a density of 1.0–1.2 kg/L, the stated dose implies approximately 15–18% nitrite ion by product weight.

This calculation is indicative and assumes the 150 ppm is expressed as NO₂⁻ rather than sodium nitrite (NaNO₂).

Potential RXSOL Equivalent

For a nitrite-based closed cooling water treatment, RXSOL could develop or supply a formulation containing:

Important Clarification

The description uses BWT POWDER, CWT POWDER, and a liquid dosage expressed in litres or millilitres. A powder formulation would normally be dosed by weight, so the exact product identity and dosage basis need confirmation.
