Food & Beverages : Used as an acidity regulator, flavoring agent, and buffer (E363).
Pharmaceuticals : Intermediate in drug formulations. Used in production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
Industrial Chemicals : Precursor for 1,4-butanediol, tetrahydrofuran (THF), and polyester resins.
Used in alkyd resins and dyes.
Agriculture : Plant growth regulator. Also Ingredient in certain herbicides and pesticides.
Cosmetics & Personal Care : pH regulator, skin conditioning agent.
