MUSCAT CHEMICAL TAG::
Made from the naturally occurring minerals, DryMax Desiccant Non Indicating come in a variety of forms to address a wide range of drying issues. For the effective and quick drying of air, industrial gases, refrigerants, organic liquids, and mixed solvents, use drierite, an all-purpose drying agent. It is used to prevent hygroscopic goods or materials susceptible to mildew, corrosion, rust, or other damage brought on by high humidity. It is also used to maintain a dry atmosphere in storage areas, vaults, commercial packaging, and other enclosures.
DryMax Desiccant Non Indicating is of neutral pH, constant in volume, chemically inert except toward water, insoluble in organic liquids and refrigerants, non-disintegrating, non-wetting, nontoxic, non-corrosive, and non-channeling.
Regeneration Capabilities: DryMax Desiccant Non Indicating can be regenerated many times for reuse.
At 25°–30°C, the amount of moisture left in gases dried using DryMax Desiccant Non Indicating is 0.005 mg/liter (National Bureau of Standards data validated). To a dew point of -100°F, the air is dried. Drying is done to very low parts per million. Efficiency barely changes at temperatures as high as 100°C.
DryMax Desiccant Non Indicating quickly and chemically absorbs 6.6 weight percent water to produce the calcium sulfate hemihydrate needed for drying liquids. DryMax Desiccant Non Indicating has a water capacity of 10 to 14 weight percent for drying gasses. Chemical and capillary action working together has resulted in this improved capacity. The extra capacity is explained by the 38 percent pore space volume found in drierite granules. The capacity changes directly with pressure and the partial pressure of water vapor, and inversely with temperature above 6.6%.
