Sodium1-naphthyl phosphate by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. Also known as 1-Naphthyl phosphate monosodium salt, this is derived from sodium and sulphonic acid. The reagent is available as a white powder which is soluble in water. It has a melting point of 189 191 C. While it is stable under general conditions, this reagent is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
Sodium naphthalene is an organic salt with the chemical formula Na+C10H8−. In the research laboratory, it is used as a reductant in the synthesis of organic, organometallic, and inorganic chemistry.
Application. 1-Naphthyl phosphate monosodium salt monohydrate has been used as a non-specific phosphatase inhibitor in the splice correction assay in HeLa pLuc 705 cells. Preferred substrate for bioanalytical determinations of acid phosphatases, such as prostatic acid phosphatase.
