Sodium formate is used in industrial applications and the production of other chemicals. Sodium formate is used in the production of sodium hydrosulfate and formic acid. Sodium formate is also used in leather tanning, printing processes, as a food additive, and as an enzyme stabilizer in detergents.
Sodium Formate is used in several Fabric Dyeing and Printing Processes. It is also used as a buffering agent for strong mineral acids to increase their pH, as a food additive (E237), and as a de-icing agent.
Sodium Formate is a white crystalline material. It is used in the production of sodium hydrosulphite/dithionite, a bleching agent for pulp and paper.
