Sodium Selenite is a colourless solid. The pentahydrate Na₂SeO₃H₂O₅ is the most common water-soluble selenium compound.

Note

Sodium selenite (Na2SeO3) has been known to restore the antioxidant capacity of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs), reduce the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the cells, and promote cell proliferation and inhibit cell apoptosis.

Sodium Selenite is a white, sand-like solid. It is used to remove green color from glass, as a laboratory chemical and as a medication.
