ZINC CARBONATE BASIC
Zinc carbonate basic is used as pharmaceutical intermediate and in chemical research. Zinc Carbonate is an odorless, white, sand-like solid. It is used in cosmetics, lotions, porcelains, pottery, rubber, as a feed additive, and as medication.
Zinc oxide is known as a widely used zinc compound in manufacturing mineral makeup. It works to prevent and protect skin against burns and irritation, thus it is common to be found in ointments that are used to relieve sunburn, windburn and diaper rash.
Zinc Carbonate Basic (Zinc Hydroxide Carbonate)is a water insoluble Zinc source that can easily be converted to other Zinc compounds, such as the oxide by heating (calcination). Carbonate compounds also give off carbon dioxide when treated with dilute acids.
