MGDA-Na3 is the abbreviation of trisodium methylglycine diacetate, also known as trisodium dicarboxymethylalanine. It is a small molecule chelating agent with a structure similar to NTA, but it is non-toxic and easily biodegradable. MGDA-Na3 is a new type of non-phosphorus green degradable chelating agent, used to replace traditional phosphonates, EDTA, NTA.
For example, during milk processing, insoluble calcium phosphate precipitates are formed, which is not easy to clean. The complexing ability of MGDA on it exceeds other degradable complexing agents.
