Diammonium phosphate (DAP; IUPAC name diammonium hydrogen phosphate; chemical formula (NH4)2(HPO4) is one of a series of water-soluble ammonium phosphate salts that can be produced when ammonia reacts with phosphoric acid.
Diammonium phosphate, also known as diammonium phosphate (DAP), is a compound fertilizer containing nitrogen, phosphorus two kinds of nutrients.Diammonium hydrogen phosphate is a kind of high concentration and effective fertilizer, easily soluble in water, less solid after dissolution, suitable for all kinds of crops and soil, especially suitable for nitrogen-loving and phosphorous crops, as base fertilizer or topdressing, suitable for deep application.
Diammonium phosphate, refers to the standard product containing N1chemical book8%, P2O548%, crystal shape is planoclinic crystal, 25ºC water solubility of 71%, its saturated solution oF pH up to 8, much higher than a ammonium phosphate.
As the saturated solution of diammonium phosphate is alkaline, applying it to acidic soil can reduce the fixation of iron and aluminum on phosphorus and maintain the high availability of phosphorus. Therefore, diammonium phosphate is advocated to be applied to acidic soil.

Usage: As a fire-prevention agent for fabric, timber and paper. For food grade it is mainly used as a fermentation agent, nourishment, and so on.
