TRYPAN BLUE FOR MICROSCOPY Supplier Oman Muscat Barka Salalah Sohar Ruwi Mutrah Nizwa Al Hamra Manah
Trypan blue is commonly used in microscopy (for cell counting) and in laboratory mice for assessment of tissue viability. The method cannot distinguish between necrotic and apoptotic cells. It may be used to observe fungal hyphae and stramenopiles.
Appearance: deep blue in aqueous solution.
Trypan Blue has a greater affinity for serum
proteins than for cellular protein. If the background is
too dark, cells should be pelleted and resuspended in
protein-free medium or salt solution prior to counting.
