Product Addition / Preparation
-
Stock solutions can be prepared up to a 0.5% concentration, either using an automated make-up unit or by batch preparation.
-
Prepared solutions should be aged for 30–60 minutes to achieve maximum performance.
-
Use high-quality make-up water for solution preparation.
-
Prior to dosing, the stock solution should be further diluted with secondary water at a ratio of up to 10:1.
-
Centrifugal pumps should be avoided for polymer transfer to prevent shear degradation.
Handling and Storage
-
Solutions are no more corrosive than water.
-
Recommended construction materials: stainless steel, fiberglass, plastic, glass, or epoxy-lined vessels.
-
Avoid contact with iron, copper, or aluminum.
-
Shelf life: 24 months when stored unopened in a dry environment at temperatures not exceeding 40°C (104°F).
-
Spilled polymer is extremely slippery and should be absorbed with inert material before washing the area thoroughly with water.
