Descalex Powder

Specifically formulated to remove rust and water scale build up from boiler evaporators, heat exchangers, cooling systems, pipeline collection system etc. It is a superior balance formulated heavy duty POWDER acid containing accelerators, corrosion inhibitors & wetting agents. Highly effective on heating. Safe and easy handling and storage . Fast and effctive scale remover .

Scale and Rust Remover (Powder)

PRODUCT PROPERTIES :

Boilers, calorifiers, heat exchanges, diesel engine cooling system, condensers, evaporators & other type of equipment where rust & scale form. 

Dosage

This is mixed with fresh water 3 to 20 percent depending on deposition of scaling. After using SA-1008, sense all metal surfaces with 0.5 percent of RXSOL-54-1008-025 at least 2-4 house , up to neutrial of PH valve.
 

Procedure-of-use: The most effective descaling is accomplished by circulation.In the case of small components,the soak method in an immersion bath can be used. If the equipment to be cleaned is contaminated by oil, grease or sludge, then pre-cleaning with DEGREASER ( RXSOL OB 1005 ) is necessary. Depending on the extent of scaling, use a solution of 2.5-10% RXSOL-54-1008-025 . The solution will have a red colour which changes to orange when 85% of the acid has been neutralized , & to colourless  when the solution is totally neutralized. Whenever possible, the solution should be heated to 60°C.Neutralised  solutions can be re-activated by adding more RXSOL-54-1008-025  until the red colour reappears. This should not be done more than twice. RXSOL-54-1008-025  should not be used on Aluminium , Zinc, Tin or Galvanized surfaces.

After use of RXSOL-54-1008-025  a  0.5% solution of Alkalinity Control in fresh  water should be used for neutralization.

Precautions

For DESCALING OF PIPELINES of Cooling Systems, use RXSOL DESCALEX POWDER

Recommended concentration: 3-8% by weight, depending on scale severity

For most cooling systems with routine mineral scale (calcium carbonate, etc.), 5% is a good general-purpose starting point - that's roughly 100 kg for 2,000 L.

A few important operating notes,:

1. Circulation time: Typically 2-3 hours of circulation, checking pH periodically. Stop when pH stabilizes (acid is spent/scale dissolved) or after visual/lab confirmation.
2. Monitor progress: Check pH and iron/copper ion concentration in solution periodically (test strips or lab titration) rather than fixing a blind circulation time - stop as soon as scale is gone rather than over-circulating.
   • Following the acid clean with a neutralization/passivation step - commonly a mild alkaline flush (e.g., sodium carbonate/soda ash, ~0.5–1%) to raise pH to neutral and form a protective passive layer on the iron/steel before refilling with treated water.
3. Rinse thoroughly after neutralization before returning to normal operation.
