Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) is an organic compound which is commonly used as a plasticizer because of its low toxicity and wide liquid range. With the chemical formula C6H4(CO2C4H9)2, it is a colorless oil, although commercial samples are often yellow.Dibutyl Phthalate DBP Cas 84-74-2 is an excellent plasticizer for nitrocellulose with strong gelling ability. It is used in nitrocellulose coatings and has good softening effect. Stability, flex resistance, adhesion and water resistance are better than other plasticizers.

DBP is produced by the reaction of n-butanol with phthalic anhydride. DBP is an important plasticizer that enhances the utility of some major engineering plastics, such as PVC. Such modified PVC is widely used in plumbing for carrying sewerage and other corrosive materials.
Application:
DOP 99.5% Industry Grade is the most popular plasticizer, which has excellent composite properties, such as good mixing capacity, high efficiency in plasticized, low volatility, good flexibility in low temperature, water extraction resistance, good electrical properties, good heat resistance and weather ability. It can be used in the processing of various kinds of soft PVC products, vinyl chloride copolymer and the resin of the fiber,such as film,sheet plate, artificial leather, cable, molded plastic and so on. It also has a good softening effect in a variety of synthetic rubber.

This product is mainly used in plastics, rubber, paint and lubricant, emulsifier, gas chromatographic fixative, solvent and plasticizer.
Application guide:
This product is the major plasticizer for celluosic resin and PVC products, especially suitable for the nitrocellulose coating. It has quite good solubleness, decomposability and adhesiveness, as well as softness and stability. Since the good intermiscibility, it can be used to colored film, artificial leather and plastics, and also good plasticizer or softener for natural rubber in the aspect of improving the products' rebound resilience.
